I'm Dhivya Haridass, PhD — the founder and principal medical writer here.
I'm a strategic medical writer and publications planner specialising in hepatology and oncology. My doctoral research focused on developing cellular therapies for end-stage liver disease, which is where my deep subject-matter expertise in liver disease began — and where it's stayed.
With a dual background in academic research and medical communications, I bring both scientific rigour and strategic thinking to every project. I understand the full publications lifecycle: from gap analyses and strategic publication plans, to congress targeting, manuscript development, and submission — and I'm experienced working within busy agency workflows to keep projects moving reliably.
Beyond my core specialties in hepatology and oncology, I bring experience across gastroenterology, metabolic and autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, neurology, and neuropsychiatry. I'm also developing a focused interest in the gut-brain and liver-brain axis — an area where hepatology, metabolic disease, and neuropsychiatric research are increasingly converging, and where strategic communications work is growing rapidly.
I work remotely, communicate clearly and consistently, and treat deadlines as commitments. Some of my work cannot be shared for confidentiality reasons, but I'm happy to discuss relevant experience during a conversation.
My doctoral work was carried out at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (Hannover Medical School), Germany, where I developed novel differentiation protocols and humanised mouse liver models using stem cells — with the goal of improving cellular repopulation strategies for end-stage liver disease.
This research was supported by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (GC4 programme), and involved strategic planning and coordination of high-level research across multiple institutions. Prior to my doctorate, I trained at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
That grounding in primary research — understanding what it takes to generate, interrogate, and communicate scientific data — is what I bring to every medical writing engagement today.
I'd welcome a conversation about your publications program or specific project needs.
